Information Obtained Automatically From Your Online Activity

When you access or use the Platform, we use browser cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”) to automatically collect or receive certain standard technical information and other data.  This other data may include: traffic data; usage data (including but not limited to, profiles viewed, matches made, features used, frequency and duration of the Platform usage, and interactions with content on the Platform); location data; logs and other communications data sent to us by your computer, mobile device, tablet, or any other device over time on our Platform; and your online activity across third party websites, apps, and devices.  We may also evaluate your computer, mobile phone, or other access device to identify any malicious software or activity that may affect the availability of our Platform. The Tracking Technologies used on the Platform include the following, among others:

Cookies

We may collect information using “cookie” and other similar technologies. Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer’s or mobile device’s hard drive (or other storage medium) so that your computer will “remember” information about your use. We may use both first and third party session cookies and persistent cookies. Below is a general primer on session and persistent cookies; information collected by cookies depends on its particular purpose. For more information, please see the information regarding analytics providers discussed further below.

Session Cookies: We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our Platform. A session ID cookie expires when you close the Platform.

Persistent Cookies: A persistent cookie remains on your device for an extended period of time or until you delete them. Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our visitors to personalize the experience on our Platform.  Persistent cookies can also be used to store your passwords so that you don’t have to enter it more than once.

If you do not want us to place a cookie on your device, you may be able to turn that feature off on your device. Please consult your browser’s documentation for information on how to do this and how to delete persistent cookies. However, if you decide not to accept cookies from us, certain aspects of the Platform may not function properly or as intended.

Web Beacons

Certain sections of our Platform and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit Saltbox, for example, to count users who have visited particular webpages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of a certain section and verifying system and server integrity).
